Boston Storm FC

Background

Boston Storm was originally a professional soccer team that competed in the United States International Soccer League (USISL; now called United Soccer League, or USL) from 1993 to 1995. They developed and provided professional playing opportunities for many players that went on to successful careers in Major League Soccer (MLS).

The Boston Storm also started the first USISL Women’s Team in Massachusetts and was a founding member of the “W” League Northeast Division.

The “new” Boston Storm FC follows in the footsteps of the original Boston Storm. The goal is to provide youth players an outstanding coaching, training, competition and club experience that will them the opportunity to play and advance accordingly.

My son played for the Boston Storm and in my opinion got the highest level training in Massachusetts. The Technical Director and Head Coach for my son when he was with the Storm was Dennis Lukens and both he and myself consider him the best coach he ever played for by a significant margin. Everything about the Storm was first class in every way and every detail. When I heard Mr. Lukens was returning from coaching professional soccer in Europe to again serve as Technical Director of the Boston Storm FC, I just had to write this review to let others know that this is a absolutely fantastic opportunity for any young player who wants to really get better and play for a top class club. With Coach Lukens, he was always concerned about player development, supporting his players and helping them get better. Without reservation, I highly recommend Dennis Lukens and the Boston Storm FC.

It is hard to believe that Dennis Lukens is back coaching is Massachusetts as he is one of the top coaches in the United States. He coached in Europe and as a UEFA “A” License. I personally had my 2 daughters trained by him some years ago and the improvement was unbelievable. Coach Lukens took a bunch of U-11 -U-12 Town players (Weston) and turned them into top players who all went onto play at the highest levels in MA and some went onto play in College. I attribute so much of it to the high level technical training he gave this group ages 10-12. With his Club I see that he has brought is top female and male coaches. These are not just good coaches, their backgrounds are outstanding. My experiences with Dennis Lukens and the Boston Storm FC have been fantastic and I rate them as one of the very, very best clubs in MA.
