DFC Dragons

Background

The DFC Dragons are based in Duxbury, Mass; the club is open to residents of Duxbury.

They operate under and within the Duxbury Youth Soccer Association (DYSA). The belief is that they can offer soccer players in town the complete soccer experience allowing the kids to grow-up with the game and build their soccer skills.

The club is staffed by volunteers and the only paid personel are the coaches (all licensed within USSF and/or NSCAA) – this keeps costs very low and affordable, separating them from more expensive soccer clubs on the south shore. This allows them to “give back to the children of our community”.

The Dragon team(s) play in the Northeast Soccer League (NSL).

My children love this program. As a parent, I want my kids to not only have fun, but improve their soccer skills in an environment that is friendly, professional and appropriate. There are numerous wonderful things about DFC – The coaches are at the top of the list. I love that the coaches are full-time, year-round, well qualified coaches. Some are American, others are British but are married and live here. They are mature and settled, not like the other rent-a-coach clubs that are around. The value is outstanding and the selection of programs that are offered is great. They have boys and girls teams for everything from U8 – U15 and also an academy for the younger kids.
