  1. My son is gearing up for his 4th year with the JSSA and we have been very pleased with both his development and the family friendly atmosphere promoted by the club. My son has LOVED each of his coaches and all three of my children are recognized and remembered (by name) by John and Felicity. I will continue to recommend the club without reservation.

JSSA provided no instruction for my daughter or feedback.

  3. this is just sad there bad everything about them

    1. Since Dave does not know how to spell they’re and spells it there… I am not going to take his opinion too seriously.

We were looking for a club that would be upfront about playing time and help develop our son. He is a good player but not great. He has gotten hands on training in his weak areas and positive reinforcement in his stronger areas. The coaches are nicer and do not yell at 11 year olds like so many others. John and Felicity have been first rate and very generous with their time. We were at MPS and Did not like the win at all costs approach. I do not know of another club where the owners know so many of the kids, spend as much time coaching, or are on the field and helping to shape their product. As a result our son is now near the top of his team after two seasons. Highly recommend this club.

  4. Love JSS and would recommend those looking for more of a family oriented club perhaps for the less serious soccer player. Still a great club !!

  5. Excellent coaching! Its a great feeling when my daughter cant wait to go to soccer!

  6. I hear that (yes, I have no exposure to the Club) that they focue way more attention on the premier and / or elite teams and the “lower” kids get treated, well, second rate. Someone suggested a different rate structure but they club would never go for that. I’m with NEFC and we’re VERY happy – come join the fun.

    1. I hear that about other clubs but I am not going around posting it because it is NOT first hand information. Both my kids are in JSSA and at different levels. We didn’t experience this type of behavior whatsoever.
I am disappointed to see that a person is reporting and rating here based on hearsay. Really? I usually just read and don’t make comments on these sites but this information is misleading and I don’t feel it is the correct representation based on my children’s experiences so far. In fact, we are very pleased with JSSA and like the fact the coaches NEVER yell at the top of their lungs or embarrass the players during a game. It has just the right intensity for us.

  7. I must say the coaches are much better here at John Smith soccer; so much more rlaxed than the OTHER club we were at. And yet our daughetr is so much happier – along with the rest of the family!! go JSSA
