Middlesex Phantoms Soccer Club

Background

Going back to 1998, the Middlesex Phantoms Soccer Club is a premier soccer club based in Bedford, Massachusetts. This club has been operating continuously since – not many soccer clubs in the state can attest to that.

Phantom players typically come from Bedford as well as nearby communities such as Lincoln, Lexington, Burlington, Concord, Carlisle, Acton, Billerica, Chelmsford, Lowell, Reading and Waltham.

The Middlesex Phantoms started with all boys teams (high school) but has more recently expanded its offerings to girls teams and on teams for younger players for boys and girls.

Middlesex Phantoms Soccer Club teams play in the Northeast Soccer League.

Since all the high school age players on the teams play for their high school teams as well they active most active during the winter and spring with the Phantoms; younger players play in the fall, winter, and spring – and they are encouraged to play in town teams as well. During the winter, most Phantoms players participate in an indoor soccer league and have training sessions once or twice a week.

The teams of Middlesex Phantoms participate in a couple of tournaments each season.

Not a great first experience with “Club Soccer” – the club patched together a Boys U13 B team with several younger players “playing up” and overall not enough talent and the results were not good. The team was not at all competitive and the coaching and player development was underwhelming.
