Nashoba FC

Background

Nashoba FC is a relatively new soccer club (Fall 2014) based in Bolton, Mass; the club is administered by Nashoba Regional Soccer Association (NRSA) – previously known as Nashoba United.

NRSA is two entities:

  • Nashoba United (recreational soccer) is a town soccer program which combines players from Stow, Bolton and Lancaster; participate in Nashoba Valley Youth Soccer League
  • Nashoba FC (club soccer) is not limited to where you live but rather open to any/all towns; many towns are represented!

nashoba regional soccer association structure

Nashoba FC was created to provide an affordable club option that competes with other premier teams and leagues in the area. The club provides their players with excellent development programs at significantly lower cost than other clubs in the state.

The club incorporates the “holistic development of soccer players”. Don’t be concerned… this simply means that they believe in more than soccer as they want to develop the physical, mental and emotional aspects of working towards both the success and failure of one’s efforts. All the details can be found here.

Nashoba FC teams play in the Northeast Soccer League (NSL).

Club Composition

Nashoba FC has just a few teams; more will be added soon.

dollar signNashoba FC (the club program) annual team fee is $1,395. This includes: Fall/Winter/Spring training and league participation in NSL. Fees also include home/away/practice uniforms and backpack and one (1) tournament each season.

It does not include warm-ups, any tournaments not includes in the annual fees, and indoor soccer league play (usually at the discretion of the coach); very reasonable fee structure for a club soccer program in Massachusetts.

There is a Nashoba FC Premier Skills Academy. Age groups are U8 –  U10 players. Focuses included core player skills (e.g. ball control, soccer self-confidence, creativity, fun, etc.).

  1. This is my daughters 2nd year with Nashoba. We have been pleased with her development and her coaches. They keep the practices on track and meaningful while also allowing the kids to have fun. I didn’t think my daughter would be OK with the tougher approach of coaching vs town soccer but she really ended up enjoying it and never complains about her coach or club. Her teammates have all been great kids, and no drama with parents! We all get along well. I was disappointed to see the fees go up 30% this year but I was expecting that, still a great value!

  2. Nfc parent says:

My daughter has been in this program for a few years, beginning with the skills academy. The coaches are very good with the kids. They focus on skills development and have a personal connection with each player. There is a great sense of camaraderie among the players in this organization. If you are looking for a club where your child will have fun developing their skills, then this is a great fit for you.
Also this description is a little outdated. The costs have gone up to $1395 which includes a uniform kit. Warm ups are now a part of the kit and they have increased the number of tournaments their teams will play in to 3/year. Still a great value!

    1. Thanks! Will update the content for Nashoba FC.
