  1. St. Micaels club is very professional. There coaches are great the fields aren’t the best but they treat you right and take things seriously.

My son has been a part of St. Michaels for just over a year. This has been the best experience for him. If you want cupcakes then play town recreation, If you want competitive soccer, then this is the team for you. I want my son to be pushed to be his best and reach his full potential.

I do not want a little wimpy kid who gets treated equally so as not to hurt his feelings regardless of his effort or talent. He was not a starter at first but has worked his way onto the field based upon his merit, attitude, and work ethic – just the way it should be.

Yes, sometimes the fans and the coaches (on both sides) can be…let’s say “spirited”. Well, again, this is competitive soccer. If you are appalled like Anonymous says in his/her post above…..then go home and play rec soccer and get you cupcakes!! I love it!

This could not have been a better decision for our family and my son BRETT. Not afraid to post my name either…Curt Smith.

Good hardworking club that work to give make fees as affordable as possible with also working with limited assets (fields, finances, backing). Coaching staff ranges from elite highly licensed to low rec minimal licenses and are all volunteers and give everything they can for the kids. Most players developed well enough to have impact in high school. Unlike most clubs this club is a very family environment with all teams.

My brother has been playing with St. Michael’s since he was 8 years old and he has developed into an amazing player. Although some people are loud, it’s the spirit of the game. When have you gone to a soccer game and not heard someone tell?

A clubs tone starts at the top and will trickle down to their players on the field.

In all my 15 years as a both a town and club coach in addition to being a grade 8 referee. I witnessed the most appalling spectacle by coaches and parents at a game which I attended as a parent. The behavior of coaches (one of which is on the board) and 2-3 parents, of which one extremely loud and boisterous parent in particular, was atrocious.

Even though the club website lists the virtues of good behavior expected by coaches, players and parents towards officials and opposing players. These are clearly not adhered to and/or enforced even with members of their own board, who at the very least should uphold the clubs integrity.

If you want a lesson on how NOT to act as a either a Coach or Parent and what not to teach your kids, then this is the club.

  6. This club is a joke!! The coaches yell and scream like maniacs and treat kids poorly.

    Their fields suck too.

I can not express my gratitude enough for this organization. I came from a family that played and coached soccer and grew up spending most of my time as a child on a soccer field, whether it was recreation, high school or competitive and I enjoyed every minute of it. There is nothing more gratifying then seeing my child have the same soccer experience I had. My daughter’s team has four unbelievable coaches. They coach with experience and from the heart. each coach has a special style and approach. They are firm yet never forget to have fun. These coaches take countless hours of their week to focus on my daughter’s team. As a parent, when your child is on a team with such a dedicated coaching staff and club supporting them it comforts you to know that she is getting the BEST possible soccer education in the area. My daughter’s team is the youngest at this organization and I can foresee this being where she starts and ends her competitive soccer career outside of high school and hopefully college. Like I said, I can not express how happy my daughter is playing for this organization which make me one happy mama!

This club will take your money and put your kid on a team to fill a roster. Your kid will be a bench player even if they’re good. They will get 2 mins of playing time if you’re lucky. Its favoritism and if your kid isn’t part of the click don’t expect much play time. U12 coach along with most of them yell yell yell. If you want a club that will play your kid occasionally and use them as a bench player to fill a roster and if you want coaches that all they do is yell at kids then this club is for you. They also have horrible fields that they battle field time with other clubs. My daughter had the worse experience and we ended up leaving to another club when she was 13 that was 40 minutes away. She is now a high school freshman playing varsity at NBHS and plays her club soccer in the spring with Bruno.

THAT’S so funny i see alot of games from NBHS and GREATER VOC girls and boy soccer teams and about 50 percent of all this teams starting lineup are from the St. Michaels players , about 25 percent also come from the Vipers FC . Hope my litte girl grown up to become as good as many that have played there thanks to all the Coach that give they free time
