Background

Delta Futbol Club (Delta FC) is premier soccer club based in Billerica, Massachusetts that provides older kids the opportunity to play soccer in the area. Age group focus in predominantly U10-U14 (year round) and U15-U19 (currently just two seasons). The club tries to prepare kids to play in high school and then perhaps college.

The club is for more advanced players and a strong desire to further develop their soccer skills.

Delta focuses player development with high expectations for training, goal setting, skill improvement, and team commitment. The goal is winning at Delta and they make this clear to players and parents.

Typical of a premier soccer club, Delta demands a strong level of commitment from both the families and the players. They are adamant about attending all practices and games(!) and that players make club soccer a clear winner over town soccer.

Most training occurs twice a week (fall and spring); once a week (winter) and summer includes a that runs five days in a row.

Delta FC teams play in the Northeast Soccer League (NSL) and Massachusetts Area Soccer Clubs (MASC).

Camps/Clinics

Delta holds a team training camp for a week for their U10-U14 teams; takes place Monday – Friday in August at Fort Devens (132 Sherman Avenue , Devens, MA 01432).

Young Players

They also have a programs for ages 7-14 years which covers the basics of proper training such technique, tactic, fitness and personality. See more at their website.

Tournaments

Delta participates in tournament on Labor Day, Columbus Day, and Memorial Day weekends. Most teams will also play in a July and August tournaments. Most of the tournaments will be in the New England. The U15-U17 teams may travel further distances and will be participating in tournaments that will maximize their exposure to college coaches.

Delta FC hosts its own Delta Cup Tournament the weekend before Labor Day and all U10-U14 teams are expected to participate.

Delta FC will also compete in the state cup play each year, though not for U10 – U12.

Facilities

Practices and home games are held at Citizens Bank Fields at Progin Park – Lancaster.

Winter training sessions are held at various locations.
