South Shore United Blazers

Background

South Shore United Blazers, based in Brockton, Mass, is a premier soccer club and currently has teams for boys only. The club started in 1988 as South Shore United Soccer Club then merged with Mass Bay Blazers in 1999 – now simply known as South Shore United Blazers.

Though the club is relatively small they have had tremendous success given their lack of big club “status” and limited resources. The U14 boys team won the 2013 Presidents Cup (aka US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup).

Many of the players in the club come from families not able to afford the fees; kids are never turned away and through donations and the generosity of club staff each child is welcomed. The teams work hard and much is expected of them as they often must work harder and smarter than teams of the much larger clubs.

South Shore United Blazers participates in the Northeast Soccer League (NSL).
